A new project from Small World Theatre makes a tasty starter this week, Thursday 7th February.
Taste the progress every thursday lunchtime at Theatre Mwldan Cafe, Cardigan.
A community cooking course, run by Cook Lesley Robinia and Gastronomer Tom Bean is working with keen students towards a feast to celebrate Small World's new building. As well as preparing delicious healthy food, this course is all about nurturing food culture. The aim of sharing what has been cooked with the public on thursday lunchtime is to enjoy eating together, sharing stories... perhaps stories about where ingredients or recipes have come from.
For starters, this week is following a middle eastern theme and we are looking forward to an extra dimension to eating felafels and hummous with pittas and stew as Bill Hamblett shares stories of puppets and forests in the Sudan.
The next lunch date is the 21st of Febuary and we'll be exploring the idea of Welsh Tapas!
So if you'd like to take part, please drop in... but remember, in exchange for a free lunch we are asking for a contribution, a story, a recipe or perhaps an ingredient for the next meal.
